Our flagship title, Cryptogram: Word Brain Puzzle, is currently holding the #1 spot among all Word iOS and Android games in the US, and we’re scaling fast. That’s why we’re now looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team. This is a new role, and you'll play a key part in shaping the financial future of Joyteractive as we continue on our exciting scale-up journey.

Position Overview: As our CFO, you won’t just manage numbers—you’ll be the architect of our financial success. You’ll develop and execute our financial strategy to align with our ambitious growth goals and guide the executive team through financial decision-making. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the company’s future as we navigate new opportunities for expansion.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

Financial Strategy & Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a financial strategy that supports our rapid growth and business objectives.

  • Partner with department heads to ensure the financial strategy enhances business initiatives and overall performance.

  • Advise the executive team on financial matters to ensure strategic alignment.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, using data-driven insights to drive operational efficiency and financial stability.

  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to support decision-making.

Cash Flow & Risk Management:

  • Monitor cash flow, manage liquidity, and mitigate risks with strong control processes.

  • Ensure solid financial governance and compliance with applicable regulations.

Investor Relations & Fundraising:

  • Lead capital-raising efforts, manage relationships with investors, and effectively communicate financial performance.

  • Spearhead the preparation for potential M&A or partnership opportunities.

Team Leadership & Development. Build and lead a high-performing finance team, mentoring future leaders and fostering cross-departmental collaboration.

Compliance & Financial Reporting. Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with global regulations, working with external auditors and managing audits.

What kind of professional are we looking for?

Financial Leadership Expertise.

  • At least 5 years of experience in financial leadership, ideally in tech, gaming, or a high-growth industry, with a proven track record of managing financial operations for scaling businesses.

Expert in FP&A and Financial Structuring:

  • Extensive experience in setting up and managing budgeting, forecasting, and reporting systems.

  • Prior experience working with external accounting services and establishing internal financial systems is required.

Cash Flow & Risk Management Skills.

  • Proven ability to manage cash flow, liquidity, and financial risk in a dynamic environment.

Would be a plus:

  • Gaming or Mobile App Industry Experience: Understanding the financial nuances of game development, such as cost structures and revenue models, is a plus.

  • Capital Raising and Investor Relations: Experience securing venture capital or debt financing and managing investor relationships.

  • M&A Experience: Experience with financial due diligence, evaluation, and integration of acquisitions or partnerships.

  • International Accounting Knowledge: Familiarity with global financial regulations and tax compliance frameworks is a bonus.
